American Dream Pt.10(New York City)

6th Sept  Salvation in Central Bar 

13 hours bus ride from Cleveland , at last I arrived in the Big Apple . What I can say is things are not looking good . I  was basically homeless at that point ! Hostel are fully booked and hotels are 300 dollar ++ a night . I had been looking for host online for weeks but I was really unlucky being not able to getting anyone to host me  .  My phone was out of credit and battery , luggage wheels broke .  IT WAS THE TIME TO FREAK OUT ! . At that point I ran out of option and the only solution is to wait !  Basically I wondered around the city and just waiting for nightfall so I could attend the local weekly CS meeting in Central Bar . That really was my final shot at getting a place to stay !

At the end of the day , everything worked out . All the stress that I had during the day was gone . I was lucky to have met all those nice and friendly people . The most important thing is I got a place to stay . Someone decided to save me from being homeless !  That's it for the night !

7th Sept Bridge , Sex and Alcohol !

A new day in Big Apple , time to go out to explore ! . This time I will be joining Chris and Sabina . Chris is actually from Germany ,Sabina is from Poland and I am from Malaysia . It is such a going to fun !

First stops it got to be the iconic Brooklyn bridge . The bridge is pedestrian friendly and you could even rent a bike and cycle across it ! Walking across it is going to take some time , so we ended up walking to the half way point and we turned back . Really the view of the city from the bridge is just breath taking.

After long walk from the Brooklyn bridge and several places , I decided to break off with Sabina and Chris so I could check out one of New York City's famous attraction " Top Of The Rock" and Museum of Sex . The line for Top of the Rock is just ridiculously long ! and there is another long line just to get down ! . DAMN I just Hate waiting !

Museum of Sex really is one of those special museum . Erotic yet educational ! You will find information about your sexual needs there !  It is a must visit place in New York City too !

After a long day walking , it is time for some beers and shot ! We got tickets to the tech vs fashion event party. It was dirty cheap , 20 dollar for free flow of alcohol in NYC event . I will take this deal anytime ! I met some nice people and had some decent conversation. Drink after drink after drink ....... time passes very fast . After all those shot and beers , me and Chris went back.

American Dream Pt.9(Cleveland)

Sept 4th  Cleveland , Ohio 

After taking off from Cedar Point , my first stop was at Russell's place in Cleveland . Nothing really interesting happened during the day cause he had to go for classes . So I have no choice but stay in his place during the day and played Halo 2 on his Xbox 360 ...... death ! Gun Shot !Grenade ! Revive !...I am bored

Until later in the evening , I was 'transferred ' to my host , Racquel in Cleveland . All the craziness starts to happen when we are at Racquel's place . For example we had Russell carrying Nicole on his back while she playing with the hula-hoop ! .

Besides having crazy hula-hoop , we had a group meditation session , drumming session and some color painting  . All is of this is pretty exciting ! and all this interaction bring us much closer with one and another .

It is time Russell and Nicole to leave . Again the overwhelming sadness of saying goodbye ! Russell was a fun friend to be around with , I hope I can see you again ! It breaks my heart to say goodbye . But at some point I got to get used to all this goodbyes . This is the path I took , so I got to stay strong !

5th Sept Downtown Cleveland
A new day for fun ! Everything got to start with a well cooked breakfast . Racquel 's mom was so sweet to cook me breakfast . After eating , it was time  to explore Cleveland !

Racquel and her friend showed me downtown Cleveland and of course their favorite place to hang out . It was a blast. After dinner , we had a drumming session in their house . All this fun filled experience was my first , I am glad to be hosted by Racquel. My stay with Racquel no doubt was short , that night itselt I got to catch my bus to New York City. They asked me to stay longer , but I had no choice but to decline since my journey got to go on. So it was goodbye , and off I go to my next stop New York City !!!

Sept 3rd Last Day in Cedar Point 

It is time to say goodbye to everyone in Cedar Point . After nearly 4 months working there , I have been experiencing anger , disappointment , sadness , excitement and happiness with you all there .I will forever remember my experience in Cedar Point . It was on my last day , I brought my camera there so that I could say goodbye and take a final shot with my friends working in Cedar Point. It really kills me to say goodbye , cause I know most likely wont be seeing any of them in future anymore.

 After I had finish packing my stuff , Sabina send me off that night  . She is one of the friends that I have a lot of good quality conversation with . Although the time we hung out together are short but I felt like we had known each other for a long time. I really wished we had spend more time together and it was great knowing you, Sabina.  Hopefully I can visit you in Poland one day . It was time for me to get into Russell's car and start my travel in the States . First Stop , Russell 's house , Cleveland  , Ohio . Goodbye Cedar Point !

American Dream Pt.7

26th August Challenge Park with Romanians

It was time to challenge our courage , we decided to use our free challenge park ticket that day and try everything in the Challenge park. THE VERY FIRST RIDE was the amazing rip cord . Rip cord is a ride sort of like a bungee jump but instead of jumping off from a platform , we are lifted up high by a cord and right on top one of the person must pull the cord and it will set everyone to free fall. This is by far the most scariest attraction in the park . All the roller coaster that I have tried in Cedar Point prepared me mentally for this ! After rip cord we tried Skyscraper , Go-kart and several other roller coaster.

After all the rides, it was time to enter the performance hall to enjoy a 30 min show of Snoopy on Ice . It was amazing being able to enjoy the show after a hot summer day in Cedar Point. Soon after the show had ended we head to the kids water fountain and show off our moves ! We are all out of control !

American Dream Pt.6

26th July Cedar Point Employee Mini-Golf Night

Cedar Point have been organizing bus trips , ride nights and event for employees for the entire summer . One of them was the mini-golf night event. Where all the employee are allowed to participate in this fun event. So it is time to have some fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Russell , Mary , Andhie , Sabina and me have decided to join this mini-golf night. This mini-golf consist of 2 course . The first course are basically for the newbies, we all agreed that it was too easy so we took the harder course . The 'harder course' consist of a totally of 18 stage .So in order to win , one must take the least amount of tries to get the ball in the hole. So may the best man or women win !

27th July Day Off with Meg in Crocker Park

 After the tiring mini-golf night , thank god the day next was my day off . Since I had nobody to date with , might as well I start asking around. So I gave Meg a call . Great she was off today too, I smell an adventure ! So I decided to join Meg 'my co-worker' and her mum, Nancy for the whole day. They have decided to go shopping in Crocker Park which is an hour drive from Cedar Point.

WHEN I HEARD IT IS SHOPPING , FIRST THING IN MY MIND WAS LIKE " BORING"

I never thought It was actually quite fun taking picture of my fresh new surrounding and try out new food !  So I am happy that I joined them . Thanks a lot Meg and Nancy ! You both made my day
